Treasures of the Bohemian Forest

The holiday region of the Bohemian Forest is a place of rest and relaxation, but also a place for sporting activities and cultural discoveries

Enjoy the picturesque landscape of the Bohemian Forest during your hikes and walks and discover magical places of energy and power. Hiking reveals the character of the region, its culture and its peculiarities. Again and again you can pause and let your gaze wander into the vastness over the rolling hills.

Whether you want to cycle leisurely along picturesque rivers or challenge yourself sportily on the high altitude routes - the Bohemian Forest has the right offer for every cyclist. The routes are well signposted and lead through idyllic villages, past impressive viewpoints and through untouched forests and meadows.

In addition to hiking and biking, there are numerous activities that you should not miss. E.g. skiing in the family skiing area Hochficht or cross-country skiing on the high-altitude trails of the Nordic Center Bohemian Forest or simply relaxing in summer at the bathing lake or natural river bath. Adventurous people will find their kick in the high rope park, golfers will have a nice game in the Golfpark Böhmerwald and for the anglers a Petri Heil in the river Große Mühl. Numerous child-friendly areas and offers make young and old, big and small, beginners and professionals happy. Culinary & service is also not neglected in the family ski area.

The high altitude trails are groomed for skaters and classic runners

Almost 78 kilometers of cross-country skiing trails of varying degrees of difficulty lie at the feet of cross-country skiers in the Nordic Center Bohemian Forest. At the entrance in Schöneben there is a Spi-Lo where children are introduced to cross-country skiing in a playful way. Further entrances are in Grünwald and Oberhaag near Aigen-Schlägl.
