The deep forests of the Bohemian Forest are home to a secret wonder of the world - the Schwarzenberg Alluvial Canal. For a long time it eked out an existence in obscurity. It was only after the fall of the Iron Curtain in 1990 that it came to the attention of the new Europe and became accessible to tourists and visitors along its entire length. In the summer months, cultural events and well-attended boat trips take place along the canal.
